LEARN MOREA music event celebrating the life of a Thurston teenager is returning after two years, with more acts than ever before.
Benni’s Chill is in tribute to Ben Wragge, 13, who died after an accident involving an airgun, in May 2016.
The, event organised by his mother Claire, first started in 2017 and this year will be at Thurston Rugby Club on June 18, from 2pm.
All the money from Benni’s Chill will go towards the Ben Wragge Skatepark fund, which is trying to build a skate park in Thurston, as Ben was a keen skate boarder and BMX rider.
The day will include food vendors, stalls and a children’s area with bands from Queens Road Studios, in Bury St Edmunds, playing and the largest line up of DJs that Benni’s Chill has ever seen.
Claire said: “It is a beautiful thing so connected to Ben, so it is bittersweet for me in a way. I just get so emotional sometimes seeing everyone pulling this all together for Ben and my family, it means so much to us.”
