Suffolk branch of Persimmon Homes makes sweeping changes to its team




Persimmon Homes has appointed a new director-in-charge for Suffolk.

The national home building company has appointed Ian Hamilton to lead the Suffolk branch of its operations, which has its headquarters in Great Blakenham.

Mr Hamilton, who is from Tiptree, brings more than 30 years of construction industry experience to the role.

He has risen from the position of site engineer at Countryside Properties to construction director roles at Barratt Homes and Linden Homes.

Speaking about his new role, Mr Hamilton said: “The Suffolk regional team was only launched two years ago but has already grown into a thriving business. Taking the reins is an exciting new challenge for me and I look forward to playing my part in the company’s ongoing success, supported by an excellent senior management team.”

He continued: “Since 2018 we have created dozens of jobs for local people and this year we aim to open new sites in Capel St Mary, Hadleigh, Ipswich, Leiston and Thurston.”

Mr Hamilton’s career has seen him work for some of the biggest names within the industry, including and Bovis Homes.

He will be supported in his role by a newly formed management team that includes construction director Stacy Brett, commercial director Simon Rolfe, sales director Lucy Woodhall, technical director Gary Lee, land manager Gareth Mears and planning manager Stuart McAdam.

Persimmon Homes has ongoing developments across Suffolk and Essex, along with running sites at Diss, Great Cornard, Haverhill and Stanway.
