Sir Peter Hall School welcomes visit from Baroness Barran

Bury St Edmunds’ newest school has welcomed a special visitor after Baroness Barran took part in an educational tour of the town.

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Education visited the site of the Sir Peter Hall School on the Moreton Hall estate on Friday.

Tim Coulson, chief executive of Unity Schools Partnership, said he was delighted to welcome Baroness Barran.

He said: “We want to do all we can to provide the best possible educational provision for SEND students.

“This was a great opportunity to talk to Baroness Barran about our exciting plans while also

raising awareness of SEND provision across Suffolk.”

The school is due to open next September, building up to having a total of 80 students with social, emotional and mental health needs, aged between nine and 16 years old.
