Police and Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore, has announced the appointment of Steve Jupp as the next Chief Constable for Suffolk.

Mr Jupp said, “I look forward to delivering the PCC’s Police and Crime Plan for the people of Suffolk and building on the successes of the Constabulary as Chief.”

The Chief Constable will see 29 officers, 24 civilian investigators and a share of 45 staff with Norfolk added to his force after a raise in the policing element of council tax by around £2 a month was announced.

He replaces Gareth Wilson.
