Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds booked for Thetford Forest gig
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are playing in Thetford Forest next year as part of the Oasis founder's summer concert series.
On the back of three EPs released in 2019, Noel has committed to three Forest Live dates, including the Thetford show on Thursday, June 18.
High Flying Birds has been Noel Gallagher's project since he left Oasis in 2009 and in the past decade has released three number one albums, as his brother Liam and fellow Oasis founder has also found solo success.
In recent live shows, Noel has played a cluster of High Flying Birds tracks before moving onto Oasis hits such as Half the World Away and Don't Look Back in Anger to complete the setlist.
He'll be joined at Thetford by Australian outfit Confidence Man - who are also supporting Noel at Forest Live gigs in Cannock Chase Forest and Sherwood Pines.
Noel is also playing a large-scale show at Hampstead Heath on Sunday, June 23.
Forestry England holds Forest Live gigs every summer - and has already announced other artists playing in the series will Keane, while James Morrison and Will Young as a co-headliner.
A spokesman added: "Going to a Forest Live concert helps look after the nation’s forests sustainably, with income from ticket sales helping to create beautiful places for people to enjoy, wildlife to flourish and trees to grow."
Tickets cost £52.50 (plus £6.25 booking fee) and go on sale at 9am on Friday, December 6, from Forestry England box office. Call 03000 680400 or buy online: www.forestryengland.uk/music
