Drinkstone and Creeting St Mary residents report Nottingham Knockers over Easter weekend

Residents in two Suffolk villages have been told to remain vigilant after reports of Nottingham Knockers in the area.

Suffolk Trading Standards said they received information that properties in Drinkstone and Creeting St Mary were being targeted over Easter weekend.

Nottingham Knockers claim to have been in prison and on a youth offending scheme, and try to sell household items to residents at extremely high prices.

A Suffolk Trading Standards spokesperson urged anyone approached to refuse to buy, and added that all doorstep callers should be reported to Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 0808 223 1133.
