Grounds of West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds is the stage for new production Down the Rabbit Hole, Through the Wardrobe and on to Neverland
Alice in Wonderland is set to come face to face with The Lord of the Rings in a brand new production called Down the Rabbit Hole, Through the Wardrobe and on to Neverland.
The three-night-and-one-matinee run will take place at Conservatoire East in the grounds of West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds.
The show has been penned by Erica Dupuy, a writer, actress and lecturer at the college who thinks the brand new original piece will take audience members into exciting fantasy worlds.
She said: “This review is for people of all ages and references everything from Game of Thrones to Narnia. It’s never been seen before so I guess you could say this is a world premiere.
"Alongside some iconic figures from literature and film, we have created some original characters. I like the idea of inviting people into the realms of a new world in the hope that it will spark something in their own imaginations.”
Eloise Jackson, 17, from Stowmarket recently starred in the Conservatoire East’s production of the sell-out musical called SIX.
The level three musical student said: “I’ve never been part of a show like it. I get to play a host of different roles and all of the cast are on stage all of the time. It’s going to be amazing.”
Lucy Hughes, 16, from Needham Market plays one of two narrator roles. Lucy said: “It has a bit of everything for all ages.”
The show runs from Thursday, February 23, to Saturday, February 25, and is around an hour-and-a-half long.
All shows start at 7.30pm apart from Saturday when there is a matinee as well as an evening performance.
Tickets priced £13.00 are available here.
The idea for all those who study at Conservatoire East is for them to get the skills they need to progress into the industry.
