Bury St Edmunds bar and restaurant, Damson & Wilde, in Abbeygate Street, to launch new food and drink menus
A popular Suffolk restaurant has unveiled new food and drink menus as bosses launch its next chapter.
David and Roxane Marjoram, owners of Gusto Pronto, took over Damson & Wilde in Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, in November.
The husband and wife team, who also run The One Bull, said they were looking forward to launching the restaurant’s ‘new era’ as they make their mark on its food and drink options, with the menus available from Thursday, February 1.
David said: “When we took it on last year we had to honour existing bookings and really stick to what people expected.
“Now we’re in a position to make the changes we want to make and really tailor the experience for the customers.
“It’s all about serving our food your way.
“We’ve been working on this for a while now and we’re really excited for it to finally happen.”
The restaurant, formerly Café Rouge, offers wine from Vino Gusto and craft beer from Brewshed which is also part of Gusto Pronto.
The new menus include whole plaice on the bone, slow roasted pork belly, whole butterflied sea bream as well as sharing platters of charcuterie and a baked camembert with focaccia and chutney.
Alongside the menus, Damson & Wilde will offer a fixed price menu with two courses for £18.50 or three courses for £22.50 – available every Monday to Friday from 12pm until 6pm.
Other pubs which are part of the Gusto Pronto family include The One Bull, Bury St Edmunds; The Cadogan, Ingham; The Crown, Hartest; The Beerhouse, Bury St Edmunds and The Fox, Bulmer Tye.
