Our Special Friends curing through companionship at new Kentford office

Matt Hancock, secretary of state of health and social care, has opened new offices for Our Special Friends charity.

The new offices located at the Animal Health Trust visitor centre at Kentford will help Our Special Friends to continue their important work helping people in crisis through animal companionship.

Mr Hancock also nominated the charity for an NHS parliamentary award for the positive impact it is has had on people’s lives.

Sally Bycroft, from the charity, said: “Health improves ten-fold with the company of a pet. It makes such a difference.”

The charity took on over 220 cases in West Suffolk last year and continued fund-raising is essential.
