Bury St Edmunds woman desperate to find tabby cat who went missing on Valentine's Day
A woman has been left puzzled after her cat disappeared on Valentine's Day night and has not been found since.
Justine Hoy, of Northgate Street in Bury St Edmunds, is offering an £800 reward to anyone who may have found her 18-month-old Tabby cat, Smudge, who went missing over a month ago.
The 46-year-old has been desperately searching for her cat and has been putting up posters around the town.
She said: "I'm doing anything I can. We've put posters in the town, I dropped loads of leaflets in various vets - 600 leaflets I've dropped off. I've searched everywhere where are other cat, Boots, goes. It's all over my social media. I'm just wondering if maybe there's an old person feeding him. I haven't had any news that he's dead.
"It's just killing me not knowing. It's just not like him," she added.
Justine said that Smudge is very distinguishable because of the injuries he has had in the past and his colouring and markings.
She said: "He came home one night and his paw was dangling off and he made it home. He had an emergency operation to sew it all back on again. Later on he had to have a toe amputated so he's quite recognisable.
"He's a silver tabby cat, half Bengal. He has a big, wide chest and his back right toe is missing. When he went missing he had a green reflective collar on and he's got quite a distinctive tail with rings around it and a very piercing meow.
"I just ask people to look and look again in your garden sheds, garages and be aware that he need his ear drops and flea and worming stuff.
"We just miss him."
