In today's podcast, we have the news the owner of a popular independent womenswear chain is celebrating the 20th birthday of one of her first stores.

Anna Park, who runs the ANNA shop in Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, held a special evening to say thanks to customers at the end of last month.

The 20th anniversary was actually last November - but Anna decided to wait for the get-together to let the town get back to a 'new normal' following the pandemic.

The project to transform Burys' former Post Office into shops and flats topped the list of bills paid by West Suffolk Council in February.

The authority has just published its monthly list of payments over £250 to suppliers.

Along with a payment of more than £528,000 to Barnes Construction for work on the Cornhill Post Office project, the February list includes £287,788 to Verse Facilities Management for 'facility services' and £182,178 on replacement windows at Haverhill's Provincial House.

And finally, in some more good news, a former Bury pupil has proved he is among the smartest people in the country after his team won University Challenge.

Gilbert Jackson, who used to go to St Benedict's Catholic School, is currently in his third year at Imperial College, London, studying for a masters in Chemistry.

Last night, he was one of a team of four students from the university who made it to the grand final of University Challenge where they beat Reading University by just 10 points.
