In today's podcast, we have the news the first case of the Omicron variant has been detected in Suffolk.

Suffolk County Council has said that there could be a further 16 cases in the county, with the public now being encouraged to take extra precautions.

A Suffolk County Council spokesperson said 'work was underway to identify and isolate all cases and their contacts' and there was 'no evidence of community transmission as of yet'.

Neil Harris is the new favourite to become the next manager of Ipswich Town.

Yesterday it was Marc Bircham who topped the betting market in the race to replace Paul Cook, who was sacked at the weekend following a 0-0 draw with lower-league Barrow in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Harris is currently manager at Championship club Cardiff City.

And police have launched an appeal after a parked car was hit in Bury St Edmunds.

The Ford Fiesta Zetec was parked in Cannon Street, near the Old Cannon Brewery, when it was hit hard enough that it moved out of the space on Sunday.
