SuffolkNews Podcast: Missing Cockfield man Chas Thacker wanted in connection with criminal investigation is arrested
In today's podcast, a Suffolk man has been arrested after he went missing for almost three months.
Chas Thacker, from Cockfield near Bury St Edmunds, was arrested on September 6 in Hertfordshire after being wanted in connection with a criminal investigation.
Mr Thacker was reported missing on June 15, three days after he was last spotted in Tilbury, Essex.
Next, after falling into a river in Woodbridge yesterday, a person was taken to Papworth Hospital in a serious condition.
Shortly before 1pm, several emergency services, including Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, were called to River Wall.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said that the Coastguard helped them pull the person out of the river and brought them to shore.
Also, a large fire is thought to have been started deliberately at a derelict building in Red Lodge.
At 6.13pm on Saturday evening, dozens of emergency services were called to the disused restaurant in Turnpike Road, and on Sunday afternoon a controlled demolition of the building was carried out.
The blaze is being treated as suspected arson as confirmed by a spokesperson for Suffolk Police.
And finally, in last night's episode of the BBC quiz show University Challenge, a Suffolk woman took part.
Hannah Brown, competed alongside her fellow students at the London School of Economics, Dominic Ede, Laurent Balt and Ali Hassan, with Ms Brown studying a bachelors degree in history.
The four of them had an average of 24 and scored a respectable 110, but failed to beat rivals from the University College Oxford who had the youngest average age in this year's competition at just 19.
