SuffolkNews Podcast: Bury St Edmunds plans submitted for David Lloyd Leisure club at Marham Park




In today's podcast, we have news that a massive leisure club with a tennis air-dome and a five-lane swimming pool could be built at a Bury St Edmunds housing estate.

David Lloyd Leisure Ltd wants to build the facility on a 2.01 hectare site fronting Sandlands Drive at Marham Park.

Serious concerns have been raised over 'nightmare' traffic issues a new development could cause in Mildenhall and its neighbouring villages.

A public consultation hosted by Suffolk County Council at the Mildenhall Hub gave people the opportunity to give their views on the outline planning application for the land west of the town.

Iconic football commentator John Motson who went to school in Suffolk, has died aged 77.

Motson, who was known as 'Motty' by football fans, grew up in west Suffolk and attended Culford School, before going on to cover 10 World Cups and over 200 England games for the BBC.
