SuffolkNews Podcast: Suggestions of a cinema, country park, and training facility for Newmarket to be discussed at the Jockey Club community event




In today's podcast, suggestions for a cinema, country park for residents, and a new training and racing facility for Newmarket are to be discussed at a community drop-in event organised by the Jockey Club at the end of the month.

Amy Starkey, managing director for the Jockey Club’s East Region, said the organisation was adopting a new approach and wanted to talk to the people of Newmarket about how it might help shape the future of the town and its historic home.

The drop-in event, called Playing Our Part in Newmarket’s Future, is being held at the town’s memorial hall on March 29, from 9am until 5pm and on March 30, between 10am and 8pm.

The trial of a father and son accused of murdering a man in Bury St Edmunds has been adjourned for technical reasons.
