An air ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Sudbury yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the incident, in Melford Road, shortly before 4.30pm.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said the road was closed between Priory Road and Woodhall Road following the incident, however it was opened around five hours later.

The family of serviceman Corrie McKeague will meet with officials from the RAF this week to discuss holding a memorial in his honour.

Earlier this year, an inquest held at Suffolk Coroners' Court concluded the airman had died after climbing into a bin in the early hours of September 24.

In a post on the Find Corrie Facebook group, which has over 100,000 members, his mother Nicola Urquhart said the family would be returning to Suffolk this week to discuss plans for a memorial service at RAF Honington.

Headteacher at Castle EAST School, Anna Mears, said the school was going from strength to strength, adding children were 'flourishing' and staff had seen a 'real change' in pupils' confidence levels.
