Crash in car park of Waitrose, in Bury St Edmunds, sees police and fire service attend





Police and the fire service were called to a Bury St Edmunds supermarket after a car crashed into a trolley shelter.

Two marked police cars and two fire engines attended the incident in the Waitrose car park, in Robert Boby Way.

The area was taped off.

A police spokesman said they were called at 3.01pm by the ambulance service.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said they were called at 3.10pm due to concerns of possible smoke from the car.

However, there was no smoke.

No-one was trapped.

He said the incident was dealt with by 3.40pm.
