Police called to series of collisions on A14 westbound around Higham and Tuddenham including five-vehicle crash

Police were called to a series of collisions on the A14 this morning, including a five-vehicle crash.
Officers were alerted to two separate collisions on the westbound carriageway around Higham and Tuddenham, near Bury St Edmunds, at around 7.50am.
The Higham crash was between a lorry and car, while the incident at Tuddenham saw five vehicles involved.
One lane was blocked after the collisions.
Minor injuries were suffered by some of those involved, but a spokesperson for the ambulance service said treatment by paramedics was declined at the scene.
The road was clear by 8.45am.
