Police chase driver after failure to stop in Mildenhall




The driver of a car failed to stop for police before speeding off at 60mph in a 30mph zone and being pursued by officers.

The incident happened last Thursday evening around 9.10pm in College Heath Road, Mildenhall.

Officers requested a silver Vauxhall Vectra to stop after having asked the driver to do the same thing at 6am that morning.

The car drove off at speed, overtaking other cars in the process and driving at 60mph in a 30mph zone.

Police pursued the car through Mildenhall and into Beck Row where it was abandoned in a field off Snare Drove.

The area was searched with the assistance of the Dog Unit, but the occupants of the car were not located.

Police are asking anyone with information, in particular anyone with a dashcam, to contact the Sentinel West Team quoting reference: 65826/20.
