A143 crash close to Bunbury Arms pub, Ixworth Road, Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, prompts emergency response from police, fire and ambulance service

Emergency services were called to a two-car crash last night.

The crash happened close to the A143, near to the Bunbury Arms pub, Ixworth Road, Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds.

Police, fire and ambulance were called to the crossroads at 6.45pm.

It is understood the accident happened at the junction of Thurston Road and the A143.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “Police were called at around 6.45pm yesterday to reports of a two vehicle collision just off the A143 in Great Barton.

“Ambulance and fire services were also called to the scene.

“Injuries were reported but they are not thought to be life threatening or changing at this time.

“Ixworth Road was blocked but it reopened at around 8.20pm.”

The ambulance service has been contacted for details.
