Fire crews, police and ambulance service called to A14 crash at Beyton involving multiple vehicles




Emergency services were called to a collision on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds involving multiple vehicles.

The incident was on the A14 westbound at Beyton between junctions 47 and 46, with police, fire crews and the ambulance service called, and one lane was closed.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said they were alerted just after 4.20pm and the incident involved three vehicles - a Vauxhall combo van, Peugeot 406 and Mercedes C220.

A fire service spokesman said one person was trapped and a vehicle was in a ditch.

Four fire crews attended and the East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a rapid response car.

One patient was taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
