Police investigate arson incident after car set on fire inside garage in Bury St Edmunds




Police are investigating an incident of arson after a car was set on fire inside a garage in Bury St Edmunds last night.

Officers were alerted by the fire service at about 9.55pm to reports a car had been set alight inside an open garage, in Baldwin Avenue, near the Gloucester Road junction.

The fire spread to the garage causing damage.

Five fire crews attended the incident after Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called at 9.25pm.

They extinguished the blaze by 10.44pm.
