Bury St Edmunds police investigation closed after Ooh La La hair salon customer who failed to pay for £160 treatment covers bill
Police have closed an investigation after a woman who failed to pay for £160 treatment at a hair salon later covered the bill.
Ooh La La in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, took to social media and spoke to SuffolkNews after the woman left the salon without paying for her treatment last Thursday.
She was asked to pay for her hair treatment, but said her card wasn’t working properly and she needed to go to her car to get another card.
On the request of the staff at the salon, the woman left her bag behind and said she would be back in two minutes – however she did not return.
When the team at Ooh La La looked inside the bag they found it still had tags on and was empty.
The incident was then reported to the police, and on Saturday, the woman called the salon to make the payment.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said the investigation has since been closed.
