Bury St Edmunds Harland Court double stabbing probe: 39-year-old man remains under investigation

Nearly a year after a double stabbing in Bury St Edmunds, police have said a 39-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains under investigation.

The probe continues into the fatal stabbing of Karl Skoulding at Harland Court, on Station Hill, on April 26 last year. The 43-year-old and a woman were found in a flat with stab wounds and he was declared dead shortly after police arrived.

The woman in her 40s was taken to hospital in a critical condition but was later released.

A 17-year-old boy from Ipswich was also arrested on suspicion of murder and was released from custody with no further action taken against him.

A police spokesman said the 39-year-old man remained under investigation.

He added: "The police investigation remains an active and live investigation."
