Person taken to hospital after collision between two cars in Thurston




A person was taken to hospital after a collision between two cars in Thurston.

Units from Stowmarket Police and the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team were called at 12.25pm to the collision on Station Hill between a Mercedes and Vauxhall Corsa.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service also attended the collision at 12.40pm to assist the ambulance service and make the area safe.

A spokesman said: "Two individuals were left in the care of the ambulance service."

One casualty was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment to an injury described as 'non-life threatening and non-life changing'.

The fire service left the scene at 1.07pm.

The East of England Ambulance Service said three ambulances, one hazardous area response team vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle attended as well as a volunteer critical care team from the emergency medical charity SARS.

The road was closed in both directions and reopened at 2.50pm.
