A143 road in Bury St Edmunds closed by police after flooding

A road has been closed in a Suffolk town due to flooding.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the A143, Compiegne Way, in Bury St Edmunds.

In a tweet, police have reported that the road has flooded again.

Compiegne way, (rear of the sugarbeet) in @BuryStEdsPolice is flooded again. Road is closing shortly to prevent anyone being stranded in the water or crashing!
