"It shows how artists try to come to terms with modernity, and also how hard it is for a woman artist, in any period," said Jenny.

In 1922, Cyril Power, a 50-year-old architect, left his family to work with the 24-year-old Sybil Andrews and they would be together for 20 years.

Throughout their lives, the pair became famous for their dynamic, modernist linocuts which was used to sum up the hectic interwar years.

Sybil was originally from Bury St Edmunds and travelled with Cyril across Suffolk before moving around the world.

Moyse's Hall in Bury St Edmunds currently displays some of Sybil's print work.

As part of her four-year research, Jenny visited Bury St Edmunds where she learned a lot from Sybil Andrews’s family contacts, and Cyril Power’s grandchildren.
