Stowmarket probation officer in court accused of sexual relationship with client in Bury St Edmunds

A Stowmarket probation officer will face a court hearing over accusations she had a sexual relationship with a client and disclosed information about other clients.
Laura Nicholls, 28, of Fuller Way, is also charged with providing false witness statements and neglecting her duty.
She is accused of having the relationship in Bury St Edmunds from March to September 2020. Today, she appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court - where she gave no indication to how she will plead to all three counts.
She will appear before Ipswich Crown Court from May 6, where she will enter a plea.
Until then she has been granted unconditional bail.
