Properties flooded as fire service called to burst water main in Brandon

A small number of properties have been flooded after a water main burst in Brandon in the early hours of this morning.

A fire crew from Brandon Fire Station was called just before 5.00am to the incident near Heath Road.

The crew attempted to divert water away from houses and Anglian Water were called to the incident.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: "Our teams are currently working to repair a burst water main on Heath Road, in Brandon.

"Unfortunately, a small number of properties have been flooded, however our teams are on site dealing with this.

"We would like to apologise for any issues this has caused, and would like to reassure our customers that we will be correcting any damage that has occurred.

"Our teams are working as quickly and safely as possible to get things back to normal."
