An update at 11.59am said engineers 'diverted power around a cable damaged by a third party' working in the Hawthorn Walk area of Thetford.

They said: "We have now restored power to all but one property.

"We're sorry for any disruption this power cut caused."

However, the company reported at 12.29pm that power had gone off again.

They added: "Engineers diverted the electricity around the damaged cable, however this has not held so we may need to fully complete repairs in order to restore power."

But at 1.12pm the update read: "Our engineers have been able to divert electricity around the damaged cable, restoring power to some customers.

"We know your power may now be back on, however; we'll keep sending text updates to everyone until all the power to your area is on."

Some however are still without power thoughhave an estimated time of between 5.30pm and 6.30pm to be back online.
