New Bury St Edmunds children’s clothing and accessory store, Bimbi, opens today in town centre

A mum-of-three is all set to open a unique children’s clothing and accessory store.

Rozina Hajdarmetaj opens Bimbi, in the Traverse, Bury St Edmunds, today.

The shop will sell a wide range of items — everything from children’s clothes to accessories and toys.

Rozina decided to open the store, which stocks brands from across Europe and Scandanavia, after spotting a gap in the market.

“I had always wanted to open a clothes shop and it was a friend who suggested one for children. I realised it would be perfect,” said Rozina.

“There are lots of independent shops in the town but nothing really for children’s clothing and accessories, other than chain stores.

“As a mum of two girls and a boy, aged 10, eight and three, I also have a good idea what children like and don’t like.

“I also want to offer a personal service for my customers, as their children grow up, or give advice to others who want to buy something for their grandchildren, nieces, nephews or friends’ children.”

Rozina has sourced her clothes from across Europe and Scandanvia, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, England, and Sweden, where she grew up.

Brands include Mayoral, Angel’s Face, Caramelo Kids, iDo, Billieblush, Bling2O, Rockahula Kinds, Slipfree and Jabadabado.

Bimbi caters mainly for newborns to nine-years-old, but also stocks clothing and acessories for boys and girls up to 16.

“We have clothes in a wide range of styles, from ballerina to sporty and accessories from back-to-school hair sets, swimming goggles and snorkels, teddy bears, games - in fact hundreds of items” said Rozina.

“Bury is a great town for independent stores and and I hope my shop adds to the range.

“We also have a website and people can browse items there, and use click-and-collect.”

The website can be viewed at www.bimbi.uk

Bimbi opens today with a children’s entertainer booked to appear between 10am and noon.
