Pupils stage ‘perfect, light-hearted’ show for end of school year

Students at County Upper School, in Bury St Edmunds, have spent the last three days performing in their end of year show.

The Wiz, an upbeat version of the Wizard of Oz, featured a large team of performers, band members and backstage crew from the Beetons Way school.

Headteacher Vicky Neale said it was a ‘perfect, light-hearted musical for the end of the school year’.

She added: “A large number of students from across all five year groups have worked really well together for months and enjoyed preparing the show.

“Their hard work has produced a thoroughly entertaining evening which maintains a very high standard throughout.

“I thank and congratulate all who took part and the large staff team who supported them.”
