Suffolk rail services disrupted after a person is hit by a train between Bury St Edmunds and Ely
Rail services in Suffolk have been affected after a person was hit by a train.
In a statement on Twitter, Greater Anglia said a person had been hit between Bury St Edmunds and Ely.
"Due to a person having been hit by a train between Bury St Edmunds and Ely, services between Ipswich, Cambridge and Peterborough are suspended. Network Rail and the emergency services are en route to the site'" a tweet said.
All lines are currently blocked as a result.
The company are advising that they are attempting to source replacement bus services.
They added that a number of services have been affected - the 14:46 train from Cambridge to Ipswich has been cancelled.
The 14:20 service from Ipswich to Cambridge will now terminate at Bury St Edmunds.
