Bury restaurant is 'on the top of the world' thanks to visitor reviews

Reviews from diners have placed a Bury St Edmunds restaurant in the top 10 per cent in the word.

Owner Delil Simsek, 40, who runs Francela on Angel Hill, has received a certificate from TripAdvisor congratulating him on being one of the world’s best, according to reviews.

Francela is currently rated a 5 star eatery from 969 reviews and has won a Traveller’s Choice Award 2020.

The restaurant offers fresh, grilled Mediterranean cuisine, mezze plates, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Francela, now in its fifth year, is also running its own self-subsidised ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, with 50 per cent off meals every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“We are very very, pleased with the award,” said Mr Simsek.
