A143 back open in Stanton after lorry leaves carriageway and hits tree




A road near Stanton is back open after a HGV lorry came off it due to icy conditions and low sun.

Police were called to the incident on the A143 southbound heading from Stanton to Bury St Edmunds just after 10am this morning.

The HGV had left the carriageway and hit a tree near to a BP garage.

The road was shut around 12.30pm but was reopened 30 minutes later.

Ambulance services were called to the incident and the driver of the HGV is reported to be fine.
