A1088 in Elmswell near A14 expected to reopen shortly following serious two-vehicle crash
A Suffolk road which has been closed for several hours after a serious crash is expected to reopen shortly, officers have said.
Police were called to the A1088 in Elmswell at about 11.40am this morning to reports of a two-vehicle collision, near to the roundabout prior to the A14.
Ambulance crews, the fire service and a volunteer paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) were also sent to the scene of the crash.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said teams who will recover the vehicles from the road had arrived at about 6.30pm and it was expected the road would be opened again by about 8pm.
Officials have not yet said whether anyone was hurt in the crash.
