Risby truck wash business, near Bury St Edmunds to expand after West Suffolk Council go-ahead

A rural truck wash business is set to expand after planners gave the go-ahead.

West Suffolk Council has backed a bid submitted by Szymon Poltorak, of EM Truck Stop Ltd, for a new truck washing building as well as a concrete pad with an inspection pit.

The new building, in Newmarket Road, Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, will operate every day between 7am and 6pm.

Planning officers concluded the development would support the current business and found no significant impacts on the residents' amenity.

A noise assessment was submitted alongside the application which found the development unlikely to have any adverse impact.

The plans were approved subject to conditions.
