Mildenhall Sainsbury's year-long fund raising campaign for its new charity partner Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue has got off to a good start by raising almost £1,000 on the first weekend.
Sulsar was chosen as this year's charity by a customer vote and the appeal was launched at the weekend with the charity's representatives (and dogs) in the store's foyer.
They raised £993 in two days. Andy King, Sulsar's Chairman, thanked Sainsbury's and its customers for ' the amazing donations over the weekend'.
