Students are treading the boards this week as they bring a whole-college production of Disney’s High School Musical to audiences.

This is show week for Thurston Community College (TCC), which has worked for many months on producing High School Musical On Stage.

Natasha Barnes-Smith, head of performing arts at Thurston Community College, near Bury St Edmunds, said: “We are delighted to be staging a whole-college production again this year and in September we were overwhelmed by our students’ enthusiasm as we had our biggest audition in TCC history with well over 350 auditioning for a place in the cast.”

She said the ‘talented’ cast of 120 students was now sharing the product of their hard work and dedication.

She added: “This is a whole-cast production and one to which each cast and crew member has given their all. They should all be very proud.”

The show started on Wednesday, February 8, and finishes tomorrow, February 11.
