Bury St Edmunds shop Mr Bulb to host meet and greets with Torchwood actor Gareth David-Lloyd, TV presenter Justin Lee Collins and Aliens prop maker Terry English
Two TV stars and a famous armourer whose work has been seen on the big screen are due to hold meet and greets at a Bury St Edmunds shop next month.
Actor Gareth David-Lloyd, who played Ianto Jones in Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, as well as comedian and presenter Justin Lee Collins will sign autographs and pose for selfies at Mr Bulb Tattoos and Collectables on July 3 from 10am to 6pm.
The shop, in St Andrew's Street South, will also welcome armourer Terry English, whose work has appeared in Hollywood blockbusters including Aliens, Gladiator and Batman & Robin, on July 24 and 25.
Owner Gavin Rodrigues is creating a life-size Alien Queen from the Alien films to tie in with Terry's visit.
Entry is free but there will be charges for selfies, autographs and photo opportunities and the events have been planned subject to Covid-19 restrictions permitting.
Mr Rodrigues, an artist for more than three decades, opened Mr Bulb at the beginning of last year just before the pandemic. He hopes to use the shop as a 'mini-venue' for meet and greets to be held once a month or once every two months if possible.
As well as specialising in tattoos and collectables, he said they were now doing piercings which has 'turned the business around'.
