A site manager at David Wilson Homes’ Abbotts Green development in Woolpit has been named one of the best in his role in the UK.

Jamie Fox has been recognised by the National House Building Council with a Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Jamie said: “I’m really happy to win this award because it’s the first one I’ve won in this area, which shows the high standards we displayed in other regions have been maintained here in Woolpit.

“We’ve faced challenges at Abbots Green with the current climate, which included labour and material shortages, but we’ve still managed to build the development from scratch and make a real success of it.

“It’s a team effort, and I’d like to thank my assistant site manager, Sam Brown, for his support, as well as all of the contractors on site.”

Jamie has been working with David Wilson Homes for 16 years, and has netted the same award twice before.

Simon Wood, managing director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We want to make our customers happy by building high quality homes for them.

“These awards recognise only the best new homes and well-run developments and we are very proud of our record having won more of these awards than any other housebuilder for 18 years in a row.”
