Spooky Halloween trail to launch in Bury St Edmunds town centre with prizes up for grabs
A spook-tacular Halloween trail will soon be launched in Bury St Edmunds town centre with prizes up for grabs.
The trail, organised by Our Bury St Edmunds Business Improvement District (BID) in collaboration with the LoyalFree app, will run from Friday, October 13 until Halloween on October 31.
It will feature a series of locations, each hosting a poster with Halloween-themed questions. As participants tread cautiously along the trail, they will need to scan the QR code on each poster to unlock the answers and discover facts.
All those that complete the trail, by visiting all the locations and scanning the QR codes, will be entered into a prize draw with three Our Bury St Edmunds gift cards each worth £50 up for grabs.
There will also be hidden cryptic letters along the way. Participants will need to find all the letters, unscramble them and submit the answer in the app for another chance to win.
Our Bury St Edmunds Business support manager Mike Kirkham said: “This is a spook-tacular and free activity in the town centre with the hocus-focus very much on fun. If you’re looking for tricks or treats then this trail has it all. It’s available throughout half term and right up to Halloween, casting its spell over the whole family – you might even conjure up a prize.”
LoyalFree’s partnership manager, Sophie Carrick, added: “We are thrilled to bring this haunted trail to our partners. Whether you’re a local resident or a daring visitor to Bury St Edmunds, we invite you to enjoy this educational yet spooky adventure and discover the ghostly secrets that the town centre holds.”
