Star of Netflix-hit Bridgerton Adjoa Andoh to speak at Primadonna Festival, at Stowmarket's Museum of East Anglian Life
Stowmarket's Museum of East Anglian Life is to host a three-day literary festival featuring one of the stars of Emmy-nominated Netflix hit Bridgerton at the end of the month.
Actor, director and writer Adjoa Andoh, who plays Lady Danbury in Bridgerton, will be at the Primadonna Festival, which is at the museum from July 30-August 1.
The festival is billed as the first literary festival in the UK to give prominence to work by women and working class, disabled and BIPOC (black, indigenous and people of colour) writers of all genders.
The first Primadonna Festival was attended by internationally renowned writers such as Elif Shafak and Bernadine Evaristo (who went on to win the Booker Prize). Two audience members have signed book deals with HarperCollins publishing directly as a result of attending the festival.
This year's line-up includes: Monique Roffey; Grace Dent; Tracey Thorn; Sandy Toksvig; Helen Lederer and Laura Dockrill.
