Stowmarket museum given grant funding
The Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket has been granted £49,737 for a new community amenity from Viridor Credits Environmental Company, through their Landfill Communities Fund.
The museum’s ‘Heritage Farm’ will include a barn, providing under-cover space for activities and displays for the public, as well as protection for some of the large objects in the museum collection.
Other plans include the planting of an orchard, pathways improvement and the expansion of the animal area.
The Heritage Farm is due to open in Spring 2019, but will be launched at the museum’s upcoming Cider and Song Festival on October 20, where the first tree of the orchard will be presented.
