Millenium Farm Trust receives £1,000 donation from Suffolk Trail Riders to help transform lives of people who attend Depden Care Farm, near Bury St Edmunds
A charity has received a donation which could help to transform the lives of those who attend a care farm near Bury St Edmunds.
The Millennium Farm Trust, which runs Depden Care Farm, was handed £1,000 by Suffolk Trail Riders.
The funds will enable the care farm to develop its work providing learning and training opportunities for people with learning and physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and those recovering their mental health.
Tim Freathy, director of Depden Care Farm, said: “This is an incredibly generous donation and we are so grateful to the guys at Suffolk Trail Riders for raising this for us.
“Fund-raising is always challenging, particularly for small charities, and £1,000 will go a long way for us. It’s brilliant.”
Keith Keeble and Stephen Golding, from Suffolk Trail Riders, visited the farm with their motorbikes to present their cheque. The were shown round the farm by Chris Robinson, one of the charity's beneficiaries.
Chris said it was amazing to show Keith and Steve round the farm.
Keith said: “It was a pleasure to raise the funds for such a worthy Suffolk charity.”
