Tesco worker from Bury St Edmunds tops more than 100,000 followers with her online fashion blogs

A supermarket worker is celebrating after topping more than 100,000 followers with her fashion blogs.

Abi Nunn, 22, from Bury St Edmunds, has seen her followers increase from around 10,000 to more than 61,000 on Instagram in just under a year.

The Tesco assistant is also proving a hit on TikTok and Youtube - for which she produces fashion content from her bedroom - with 1000s of followers there, too.

Abi, a former County Upper School pupil, has found success by proving 'mid-size' girls can wear whatever they want.

Mid size is deemed to be anything between a size 10/12 and size 16.

She goes on 'shopping hauls' for everything from coats to bikinis to help other women her size can find shops and clothes they like.

"I used to run a simple blog, called Abi's Blog, back in about 2017," said Abi.

"Then when the mid-size girl movement started a couple of years ago, I thought: that's me!

"I'd never thought much about my body beforehand - I was neutral about it - but when the mid size movement began, realised it was something to celebrate. I like to produce happy videos and content with the message: I can wear whatever I want."

Abi takes inspiration from Pinterest boards and watching other Instagram fashion bloggers.

"They have have helped me with my confidence no end," she said.

"I use the classic Youtube Canon G7 Mk II to make my videos and basically just dance around my bedroom in different outfits.

Most of the comments are very positive but I do get the odd negative comment. If they don't like it though, people should just move on.

Abi now spends every spare moment making online content when she is not at work.

She has worked with major brands such as Primark and Hollister and also smaller brands such as Monki, Daisy Street and Minga London.

She has recently started making enough money from her fashion content to go part-time.

"It was my boyfriend, Guy's idea to start a blog at the start as I didn't know what to do when I left school," she said.

"I now get paid promoting brands and providing links, but not masses.

Being mid size is a cause I really believe in. I wanted make all of my content: happy.

"My mum, dad and sister, Meg, all think its great, and I am really enjoying it.

"I am just being me, dancing around in my room and having fun.

"Doing this, I've really learnt to accept my body. It is fabulous. I can wear whatever I want."

Abi hopes to turn her Instagram page into a full-time career.
