Bury St Edmunds Queens Bar and Grill owner Ben Hutton to open Crumbs, a store for his online baking brand
A restaurant owner is bringing his online baking brand and its sweet treats to a town centre.
Ben Hutton, the owner of Queens Bar and Grill in Bury St Edmunds, is opening a shop to stock baked goods made by his business, Crumbs.
Cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, cakes and more will be available at the small shop on Baxter Street when it launches later this year.
Ben said: "When this little property came on the market, we jumped at the opportunity to show off our little treats.
"We only needed a little space, as we want people to be able to buy our products in smaller batches.
"We've been baking at Queens for four years, setting up Crumbs in 2021 to capitalise on our love of cheesecakes, and now it's time to bring it to the town."
Queens opened in 2018, and in 2021, absorbed another restaurant named after its owner.
Ben hopes the refurbishments to the Crumbs store will be done by the end of November.
They plan to open with a Christmas-themed open day, supplying festive goods to the markets.
The team of chefs will still be based in Queens once the shop opens, baking items for it to sell.
Ben hopes to hire a few people to help him manage the store.
He added: "Everything, from the nibbles to our loaded cakes, will be home-made.
"The shop, and our entire team, has been born from our love of baking - and we can't wait for people to come and have a taste."
