A tea party and cake marked the 25th birthday of trade union Unison at West Suffolk Hospital on Friday.
Healthcare staff were joined by MEP Alex Mayer at the party, with the Euro MP giving a giant card to branch chairman Paul Pearson.
The union’s Suffolk area health branch, which covers West Suffolk Hospital and Suffolk Community Health, has 1,000 members.
Unison was formed when three unions merged and has more than a million members nationally.
