Leon O’Leary was the second teenage act in two weeks to be chosen for the final of BurySOUND.
The singer-songwriter won the second heat of the 2020 competition in front of a packed Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds on February 14.
It means he has won a place in the final in The Apex theatre on March 20 alongside heat one winners The Daze once the remaining three heats are complete.
Kill The Crow, Substation, The 55 and The Taboos also competed for the one final slot in the event headlined by guests A.N.G.
Co-organiser Seymour Quigley said the event also featured ‘moshpits galore’, ‘impromptu collaborations’ with audience members and ‘ a tall man dressed as an angry pig’.
