Teenage girl dies after A14 crash in Bury St Edmunds following major road closure from junction 43 to 44
A teenage girl has died following a crash on the A14 after the route was closed in both directions early this morning.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junctions 43 and 44 in Bury St Edmunds at about 1.30am today.
A 16-year-old girl was involved in a collision with a lorry and died at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions until 6.40am when the eastbound side reopened.
The westbound carriageway was reopened at 11.40am.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
